Goring Gap Trail Weekender 17th/18th May 2025.

Entries now open for 2025.

Saturday 17th May – 50 mile ultra-marathon

Saturday 17th May – Marathon & Half Marathon Walk/Jog

Sunday 18th May – Half Marathon & 52K Beginners Ultra Run.

The original Goring Gap 52K ultra-marathon aimed at new to ultra runners but open to everyone. Full route support in village halls, marked route, no navigation kills required, long cut off time and very little climbing.

The most relaxed, scenic half marathon you will run. We have no cut off times so it’s the perfect first half or just challenge yourself to completing the distance. Perfect for running with friends or club mates. 70% country lanes, 30% riverside trails.

Back for 2025 our 50 mile ultra-marathon is an extension of the 52K but also includes some beautiful woodland trails in the Chiltern Hills. Route support, 14 hour cut off. Weekend camping available.

Now in its third year our wonderfully scenic and fully supported walks return. No navigation required, village hall support stops with refreshments and toilet facilities. Weekend camping available.

Our routes use quiet lanes through riverside villages, riverside trails including the Thames Path and Ridgeway, the 50 mile ultra and walks use the Chiltern Way and woodland trails.

The route are circular so no issues with getting picked up, way marked so easy to follow and relatively little climbing.

Our support stops include several village halls where there is time to stop, refuel and use the facilities.

Usually road shoes or light grip are sufficient but we will update you on the trail conditions as we get closer to the event.

Our home for the weekend is Mapledurham House just outside Reading. We have exclusive use of the grounds and our riverside race village is set on the banks of the Thames. We have camping available Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. On site we have catering, a bar, and free parking next to the race village.

From 2025 Goring Gap Run & Walk will be organised by Bean Running.
